THE CUTTING ROOM

Lets Spend Four Nights Together

STORY

This was a Rarities Stones Fans Party that pretty much went on all week or at least all of the four nights, for those that had tickets to . . . Most Fans had just a one night ticket or maybe two or possibly three or if fortunate all four of the performances that Ronnie Wood and Mick Taylor killed at The Cutting Room . . . which was an add on "after thought" to Ronnie Wood doing his Jimmy Reed Tribute show over in the UK . . . Plus he was friends with Chris Noth the owner or their wifes were friends and the story (hearsay) goes "Chris asked . . . Ronnie accepted over some bottle of wine" or something along those lines on how this all happened *** (see addendum below) . . . . .
Putting The Cutting Room on the Manhattan Map of Places and Music Venues to go to.

The Cutting Room (old & new) is owned by Steve Walter & Chris Noth of Law & Order and Sex in the City. This was my first time at this New Cutting Room. I was at the older club downtown on 24th street which was just a simple run down funky cool bar and small performance stage in the back for less than 70 people. NOT upscale at all . . . This new Cutting Room on 44th is all top shelf from the Guitar Infused Chandelier, to the decore, bar and all the extras. A Great NY Bar - Show - Performance place where super acts play all the time.

What makes this such an Over-the-Top Unbeleivable Rarities Stones Fans party, was that word got out to all Stone Cold Hard Core NY Based Stones fans . . . Just around Midnight . . . the day of ticket sales . . . That these tickets were actually up and available for sale Online by Getting on the Cutting Room website and following the Ticket Sale links on The Cutting Room website . . . RIGHT NOW !! Just After Midnight . . . ( Not the Posted on the Website time . . . and Everywhere else on the Internet . . . You know the usual ticket sales time of 10:00 AM E.S.T. . . . Was it a Glitch ? or a human error on the Cutting Room Box Office probably. None the less what a lottery ticket of inside info ) Thanks to Bob Johnston CT-NY Stones Fan for callin me at 1:00 AM. 4Ever Grateful Mate. ( Side Note: I believe my debt to Bob Johnston is paid off, because I have bought him more drinks around the NY Tri-State area to drown a fleet of drunken sailors LOL )

The Fans in the know, in this Ticket Clicque, had Early - Unknown to the Public . . . First Crack access to the Opening Bell of tickets which was THE EASIEST Transaction EVER of ANY show involving The Rolling Stones or Stones Alone Show . . . Any Ronnie Wood - Mick Taylor show of our choosing was click purchase . . . rinse & repeat for the next show . . . and what joyfully happened was all of the front row tables were grabbed up by us + Front Row Balcony . . . Just Local NY Stones Fans . . . EVERY NIGHT was an All the Tables in the Front Row NY Rolling Stones Super Fans Party . . . Plus of Course included some Extra Pre Pre Gaming at the now Defunct Restaurant across the street
. . . or Walters ( a Well know NY Stones Dive bar - behind MSG )

Once word got out there Celebrities, Scalpers and VIP's were dying to get a ticket in, and alot of them did through Sex in the City, Law & Order, HBO connections or their pocketbooks, I was told $3k, $4k and $5k a ticket was out there. Since the place held Only 200-250 Seated.
75 or so GA-General Admission in the way back area & bar with limited viewing, some only listening.

If I remember correctly there was only two shows on the web site for ticket sales . . . and The Posters also state ONLY Nov 8th & 9th . . . Then magically around 3 or 4 AM a 3rd show popped up for sale . . . The 4th show or first show was a private invite only, I beleive this was added because no Super VIP's could get enough tickets. I am aware that Ritchie Yankee "Cold Italian Pizza" Super Stones fan was there for that Private VIP and I will get him to contribute some insight on that night . I Myself was monitoring the site at 3 AM and easily got tickets for all 3 shows, Same Table 1st Two Front Row chairs off to the far left . . . No one was going to climb over this table on their way to the bathrooms or next door to tables of drinks deliveries over your shoulder and waitresses interfering with a single moment of the show.

If you are a celebrity TMZ geek, I sat next to John McEnroe, chatted waiting in line with Earl Slick (John Lennon's guitarist) . . . at the bar after the show with Chris Noth & Gary Clarke. Noticed Steven van Zant, Dave Davies of the Kinks, Mickey Dolenz, Monica Lewinsky (works at HBO), Mary Kate Olsen, Jane Rose, Dennis Leary and a few others . . . but I am not any kinda celeb follower or gawker . . . so many more that you can probably Google on who else was there. Even bumped into Ronnie & Mick hanging outside the Men's room.
The shows were as good as it gets for an Unique Stones Alone Performance in any venue around the world.
( Ben Waters after playing there for the first time in 2023 - States it's his Favorite Venue ) . . .

The Jimmy Reed Tribute contributed to making it the Over the Top of the Top Special Shows of all time concert goings.
Gary Clarke Jr. sat in one night, Al Kooper and Simon Kirke ( Bad Co. ) played every night.
Plus add in the Fun Factor that it was a Total Local NY Stones Fan Base Only in the Front Row Tables, VIP service right up to the stage every night! Just added that once, twice, three times and if very fortunate four times in a Lifetime Concert moments and Fan Party.

**** an added addendum **** I am 99% sure, that it was probably the last show. After all was said n done, over, the sadness setting in that this is it, no more Ronnie Mick T Music, and because being in the front rows, We were the very last ones to get hustled out the Back of The Cutting Room to the front door exit. I felt it was necessary to drown those sorrows by stopping at the bar on the way out and having 1-2 or 3 more LOL cocktails of choice . . . only a handful of fans were left inside . . . and I happenstance ended up Standing next to Chris Noth . . . so I strike up a conversation . . . I go . . . ”Killer Show” . . . Chris adds “So ya Liked it?” . . . ”Liked it ?!!? . . . As a long time NY Stones Concert Go-er . . . this was World f’n Class . . . Does Not and I Cant Imagine it can . . . get any better than this!” . . . adding “Your place is just a spectacular venue . . . as I can go back to being in yer old juke joint . . . we both yukked-it-up (knowing the differences) . . . “Let me ask ya?” . . . “How did ya get Ronnie to still play a small venue like this? . . . “Well . . . it kinda goes to Way Back in the Day . . . I think we were out in Cali with the wifes and over dinner the topic came up . . . hey Ronnie when ya gonna play my club, thinking the answer would be laffed off (due to the size and maybe not up to Ronnie Standards at the old place LOL)?” . . . and he said one of these days ! Coulda been the wine talking LOL . . . goes back a way, maybe politeness, I really don’t remember everything . . . our wifes probably do . . . so we jolly jousted him over the years over it (saying that you would play my club) . . . and then this Jimmy Reed Tribute opportunity came up . . . and the rest is history”. That conversation is as best as I can recall where two buzzing-walkin-on-air people at 2 AM after four history making shows just took place. Added . . . Because some Arrogant Imbecilic Sycophant could not read the story correctly and accused me of drinking with Ronnie W while he was on the wagon ? And wanted it retracted. Geez what Moronic Dumb-Ass Clowns are Out There Spewing "Whatevers" These Days.

LOL . . . and . . . ANYWAY
If you are an Ardent Passionate Ronnie Wood or Mick Taylor Fan. This was probably their USA "Creme de la Creme" Performance(s)
You Shoulda All Been There . . . and
This Addendum adds even a bit more onto the back story of the 4 amazing nights ! Tack on One More for the Great - Super Great Fans of NY
and Rolling Stones Fans Everywhere to Appreciate.

Thankxs Bob . . . Thanks Glenn Schneider who in my Opinion took the best shots out of the 308 carouselling above.
All of those photos have his Signature Watermark for All to See if you agree . . . And to the dozen +
of others that contributed pics. Plus Joe Morgue Cozzi who took the time to VideoTape the Songs, immortalizing the night(s).
