CASINO BOOGIE Las Vegas 2021 ALL GOOD, CAN'T SPEAK, WOUND UP, NO SLEEP STORY When the Party Ends with 4 FREE BEHIND THE STAGE Passes / Tickets GIVE AWAY for Party attendeees to see The Stones in Detroit MGM as a Thank You from MGM for Putting on the Affair, That should be enough for instant consideration as a Top Pre Concert Affair. But thats just the icing on this cake. We will Get Back Jo-Jo to that later. First Off this is Coming outta Covid 2021, so All Vegas Venues were Super Sensitive about having groups mingle together anywhere. All the Casinos were also very super touchy about having any Group or Party at All at this time . . . ADD ON the Nevada Casino Commission who was also watching out very closely and could nix any Pre Planned event. This was not an easy undertaking. For those of you that have not run a Large Upscale or Detail Oriented event at a LAS VEGAS CASINO which in itself is a major undertaking with Casino Management (Chain of Command) Levels - Different Departments, 3rd Party Management Companies, the Managers of Each Area of the Casino and who will be the Manager the Day of your Event. This was MAJOR Jump through hoops. Unless ya wanted to Give Up yer Credit Card with $25k + on Hold and a $5k Deposit - Blow yer Bankroll or PUT IT ALL ON AT A 100-1 for Bar Fly Deadbeats, Damage & Debauchery, which has been known to happen all too often, then its a whole lot easier - I have been called very generous BUT NOT that generous LOL and why Vegas is now a strictly corporate town . . . I fortunately have run many and been to many more events in Vegas . . . mostly Mandalay Bay, I have an extensive Long term relationship with MGM Mandalay Bay, so I knew the drill here for this kinda in my Steel Wheel House Vegas Casino Stones Party. It was just that no one could calculate that the rules could change often and did at any given moment due to Covid Restrictions or some manager / official not wanting to sign off on anything, putting their neck on the line rather, just rubber stamping as a No for Covid Cautious. AND I Know Stones fans are NOT Gonna Beleive this AT ALL! But The Stones were Not the Biggest Act in town that weekend. Not Even 2nd !! The Canelo Fight and WSOP ( World Series of Poker ) were both happening that weekend. So a High Roller could over take your spot. Money Talk$ in this Town. Connections will only go so far. Oh Well . . . I Flipped the Switch to put it on - Hey its The Stones - I know the drill in what I am doing at Mandalay Bay. Which is the Closest Casino Hotel to the New Allegiant Stadium and where most fans would be staying So Lets Casino Boogie ! This Pre Concert Affair for Mandalay Bay Set up was so Simplistic, it practically sets itself up, if you knew the inner workings and places to party at and Layout of Mandalay Bay. First was to all, everyone and anyone Stones Fans Fan Clubs + Casino Guests meet up at Franklin 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM "Lifes a Cocktail Party on the Strip" - which is a Classy Chill Out of the Way Lounge that Many Celebrities Used ( Stallone - Tiger Woods - Terry Hatcher - Quinton Tarantino - Stevie Wonder - Johnny Cocharan ) I have all witnessed hanging out here. Also it has a Private VIP Entrance - Easy Parking - Easy Valet parking for Any Fan to get to - Every Taxi Driver knows it and a Spectacular 100 foot walk through one of the most glamerous entrances anywwhere. Here Stones Fans could kick back & Chitter Chatter over cocktails. Talking Stones, Rolling Stones and more Stones, without any distractions. The Franklin Lounge at Mandalay Bay or "Cocktail Party on the Strip" could not have gone any better. 100+ People Tasted Some Stones Liquor then kinda came n went because most, had Friday Few days in Vegas on the Strip Fever and other stuff to do. Cant Blame 'em. Santana - Sting - Cirque de Soleil WSOP all in town and off they went. Now for the Crazy Mama and Crazy Papa others that wanted to hang at Mandalay Bay, where the End Goal was to have the House of Blues Open for the First Time EVER just for us Stones Fans . . . THE Grand Opening NEW Private Room - The B-Side and play BLUE and LONESOME, just 100 feet from us. But before we get there . . . Mandalay has 3 other Party Places you will walk right by. WOW - HOW CONVIENIENT. The place just Begs for a Pub Crawl LOL :) ALL of them with prior arrangments have granted us VIP Guest List Privledges, Cut in Line Access . . . and ON A FRIDAY NIGHT in VEGAS. (try to get that at just one place Friday in Vegas) The first stop was a Hidden Door in the Mandalay Bay Resort - going for a Secret Speakeasy Theme, named The Prohibition Bar. NO Stones Fans like Brook & Karin could find the hidden access door, scoping around the days before, thats why it's a Speakeasy LOL. We placed a Casino Boogie Sign Right Out front and people still could not figure out the Secret Entrance thru the Secret Book case LOL. Anyway, Once ya pushed the Bookcase, you were now in a killer 1920's Speakeasy rocking like crazy to Stones Music for about 40-50 of us. BUT our group did not stop or stay there in the Main Room. We had Private Access to the Al Capone Vault - Another Secret Entrance Private Room. Where we had Open Bar for an Hour & STONES CRANKIN in what was Actually a SOUND PROOF ROOM . . NOW if you have never been in a SOUND PROOF Room - With STONES BLASTIN on Top of that an Open Bar. Let me tell ya - That Needs to go on yer Get yer Ya Ya's Out Bucket List. Our Group is now getting Loose, Loose Loose . . . then 5 feet from the Al Capones Sound Proof Stones Vault Private Entrance Exit is Minus 5 Degrees. a New Trendy Vegas of 5 Degree below Zero Ice Bar, Except it is decked out in a Frozen Rolling Stones Theme. ONLY in VEGAS ! LOL. Groups of 10-12 were escorted thru weaing Rolling Stones Winter Garb Regalia from Hats Scarfs + Casino Boogie Posters sealed in Ice and a Some Girls Bust created outta Ice that yer Favorite Liquor was poured through while Stones music played and amusingly the liquor came outta her nipples left & right or was it right & left . . . Everyone in our group partook and we have the Videos below to prove it. Super Kool or Should I say Super Kold. LOL. 30 minutes was yer time limit otherwise you were frozen solid . . . no matter even if you were born In The Artic Zone. Now off to "chill" at the House of Blues ( a Great Fuggin Bar on the Vegas Strip ) not some Stale-Ass Chain place. Just a great Central meet up for Mandalay Bay and JUST a 50 foot walk. the Encore was to be THE GRAND OPENING of THE B-SIDE Listening to Blue and Lonesome, I even had my buddy Blondie Chaplin Lined Up to do some Tunes, unfortunatly The House of Blues wanted a HUGE Splash and required a 100 people minimum. I could not guarantee that . . . and as now our group which was down to about 20-30ish at this point, Plus Blondie got a Last Minute (BO) Better Offer or BPO Better Paying Offer in Austin, TX, but you would be a Fool to Cry at this point. Because House of Blues & MGM Management granted all of us remaining Hard Core Partiers Complimentary Access to their Members Only Foundation Room at The Top of Mandalay Bay. The Absolute BEST View of The Strip. Everyone in Vegas knows it! The The Best of The Best Viewing Drinking & Mingling place in town. BEFORE THEY MAKE ME RUN and I FORGET . . . I NEED TO MENTION & THANK The MGM Management that showed up - monitoring of course - but really let their guard down after seeing how well everything was going and Stated We Never even thought of using our property and Franklin Lounge for this. This is the first time in 10+ years we have had to open the back room for overflow. What a Killer Concept. ** Karin Helmlinger DeBussy for making all The Stones Las Vegas Tumblin Dice Swag. ** Karen Haaas Keenan and her group for taking pics and who named it The Best Stones Concert Pre Party EVER ** Blondie for the Opportunity to Book 'em. There will be other opps. ** Chaz former Boston DJ Vegas Resident and the Peter Wolf Stories. ** The Hosts & Managers at the Franklin - Mix - Minus 5 Degrees - House of Blues Foundation Room and The Prohibition Bar. ** All the Guests who were BIG & Small But at Least Quality TIPPERS and the Waitresses & Bartenders whom ALL made $100 + in Tips Everywhere. KUDOS to ALL on the Service and Respect for the staff. They all want us back ASAP. ** Sony Record Execs that mingled and brought some memorabilia for Matt to Apparaise and in the end . . . the Love you take is . . . The Party finishes at The Top of Mandalay Bay in the Private Members Only Foundation Room with all of us Hard Cores that are left, having night caps and taking the Best Photos of the Las Vegas Strip, you can Possibly take . . . and Mandalay misplaced Lost between all these venues never returned All my swag. Oh Well, I can always producesome more, which I will. Oh Yeah what happened to the Detroit MGM Stones Show Back Stage Access Passes ? Tickets were under my name and 3 guests ( MGM wanted 3 from the party to show their gratitude ). I stayed another week in Vegas to relax LOL and did not get back from Vegas till the wee hours on Sunday the 14th. One Day before MGM Detroit. There was no way or available flights for me to be GUARANTEED get to Detroit and I was zonked anyway. Besides I have been behind the Stage with the band twice Hawaii and New York, so as great as another Stones show with Back Stage Access was possible, it just wasn't a must do for me in Detroit ( Sorry Detroit No Dis Respect Intended - I luv Detroit Made - Bob Seger - the Red Wings - the Motor City Madman Uncle Ted - Detroit City Alice - Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels - J Geils at Cobo Arena - Son of Detroit Kid Rock and Tommy Hit Man Hearns ). Oh well onto the next Stones show and Definetly NOT behind the Stage. |
