Devastated Diabetes Sufferer Refused $1 Million Casino Jackpot by Hole in One International / Odds On Promo

An unfortunate Lincoln City woman is now in a whole world of pain after having been refused a $1 million jackpot she won at the Chinook Winds Casino in Oregon. Describing the trauma she has suffered having been stiffed of her life-changing payout, heart surgery patient and diabetes sufferer Beverly Mackey, said: "In a moment when I am not thinking about it, I'll lapse into a little fantasy about how I don't just have to live off Social Security, Disability and a small pension." Apparently, Chinook Winds Casino had entered into a deal with Reno-based 'Odds On Promotions', a wholesale firm which specializes in organizing promotional contests to businesses across a vast field of arenas. As part of the agreement, the casino then paid 'Odds On Promotions' a $20,000 fee, while the promotional company staked the $1 million prize money, set the odds and bet against any player actually winning the prize. Unfortunately for Beverly Mackey, however, after she won the huge prize, 'Odds On Promotions' subsequently refused to pay out claiming that it had made a mistake when it set the grand prize odds too low. Consequently, Beverly Mackey is now suing for the whole $1 million prize, plus "no less than $20,000 for mental and physical distress". In addition, Chinook Winds has also filed a joint lawsuit with Mackey, aiming to recoup its $20,000 game fee, as well as the $50,000 it decided to pay Beverly Mackey anyway, which is equivalent to her receiving the first year of her expected 20 year jackpot payout. Explaining its position on the whole Chinook Winds' Swipe, Play & Win promotion debacle, Chinook Winds marketing director Eric Smileuske, explained: "We've gone out of our way to tell people this is not a company we'll do business with. If this is the way they do business, we're not interested."
